Baraka Edward Ibare

Baraka Edward Ibare is a postgraduate student at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) pursuing MA. in Archaeology, through the Imagining Futures Scholarship. He graduated his BA. in Archaeology and History at the same University in 2021. Baraka has, also, recently been appointed as an Honorary Research Fellow of the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. Having interests in Historical Archaeology, Baraka has been assisting in various researches of the same across the country (Tanzania). In 2021, Baraka wrote his first independent dissertation on the archaeology of Ngoni Migration in southern Tanzania. However, his current research interest is on the “Local Memories of Slavery and Slave Trade in Southwestern Tanzania.
